in chiselled bronze with a double patina, gold and green. It depicts Venus seated in a chariot drawn by a swan, playing with a putto.  The white enamelled dial displays the hours in Roman numerals and the quarter-hours in Arabic numerals. The movement is a wire-suspension type.
It rests on an oblong black marble base, adorned on the front with applied bronze figures depicting satyrs and water scenes, and stands on spinning-top-shaped feet.
First third of the 19th century.
