A circular miniature self-portrait on ivory. The artist has depicted himself seated on a chair, wearing a purple frock coat; he is working on a miniature painting placed on a lectern in front of him, between two small paint palettes. In his right hand he holds a paintbrush. Inscription on the left: “made by him in the year 1795”.
