Chiselled copper alloy mount.
Oval pommel with a long tail, decorated with lines and a laurel wreath.
A perforated joint arch for the pass-through of the sword strap, from which two branches extend to form a shell decorated with a laurel wreath against a background of four pennants and stars. Curved quillon decorated with a star motif.
Filigree horn hilt.
Straight blade conforming to the 1882 regulations.
Nickel-plated steel scabbard.
France, Third Republic period.
