Gilded brass mountings.
Oval pommel with a laurel wreath, filleted crossguard, openwork guard with floral decoration, teardrop-shaped quillon.
Horn tang (loose filigree). Slightly straight blade with three fuller lines, marked by the Châtellerault factory ‘July 1848’.
Scabbard missing.
