Brass mount with a hunter-style guard featuring two guard branches connecting the joint arch (Mouton hallmark), with an almond-shaped crossguard.
Curved, teardrop-shaped quillon.
Oval pommel with a long tail, wooden tang covered in leather, two brass lugs; the filigree is missing. Klingenthal
blade by Coulaux frères entrepreneurs, curved with hollow edges and a counter-cut edge, Mouton and Levavasseur hallmarks.
Steel scabbard with two bands (antique, probably added later).
France, First Empire period.
