Brass and ebony mountings.
A skirted pommel with a rounded, hollowed-out joint, and a half-ear-shaped crossguard decorated with a palmette motif.
A curved quillon, chiselled in the same style as the pommel.
Quilled ebony tang.
Solingen blade, curved with hollow edges and a counter-cut edge.
It is engraved one-third of the way up.
Steel scabbard with two brass bands.
France, Consulate period.
