The baluster-shaped shaft is adorned with vine branches, decorated with acanthus leaves, ovals and cherubs’ faces; and depicting the Tablets of the Law and the instruments of the Passion. The circular interior is surrounded by cherubs’ faces amidst clouds from which rays of glory emanate.
