 in black marble and gilded bronze, depicting Saint Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, playing a portable organ, set upon a richly carved base covered with a lambrequin-style apron.
The cartouches indicating the hours, in Arabic numerals, are enamelled white.
The lower section is decorated in the centre with cherubs playing music within a cartouche, and at the corners with acanthus leaves and scrollwork. The base stands on scroll-shaped feet.
Louis-Philippe period, circa 1845.
Height: 46 cm - Width: 34 cm - Depth: 14.5 cm.
(Very good overall condition, a few minor imperfections, restoration work)

A matching glass dome and its wooden base are included.
