Tall and rectangular in shape, the frame stands on gilded bronze spindle legs and is glazed on the sides and back. The uprights, shaped like ancient columns, are joined at the base by friezes of openwork medallions and are topped at the top by entablature friezes decorated with classical motifs. The chime at the top is framed by four classical vases. The white enamelled dial is signed “Dondeine l'Aîné / Thionville”. Chime, wire suspension.
