Iron mountings.
Long-tailed pommel, wraparound guard made of cut steel and a curved, teardrop-shaped crossguard.
Serial number under the guard: 11H4.135, indicating the 11th Hussars, 4th Battalion, weapon no. 135.
Wooden hilt covered with sheepskin (watermark missing), some wear and tear.
Curved blade with hollow edges, dated 61.
Steel scabbard with two straps, also from the 11th Hussars, but ‘e battalion’.
Germany, 1870 War period.
