Brass hilt with a hunter’s crossguard featuring two crossguard arms connecting the joint arch (hallmark), and an almond-shaped crosspiece.
Curved, teardrop-shaped quillon.
Oval pommel with a long tail, wooden tang covered in leather, two brass lugs; the filigree is missing.
Blade signed Barisoni, curved with hollow edges and a counter-cut edge.
Heavy steel scabbard with two bands.
France, First Empire period, occupation of Italy.
Total length 103 cm.
