Mr. Richard Overstreet, Leonor Fini's successor in title and Director of the Leonor Fini Archives, has carried out a direct examination of this work. The result of his study is that, in his opinion, it is "originally a work by Leonor Fini, in her hand: that is, the very fine line that traces the contours of the subject's face, hair and shoulder." He continues: "what is not in Leonor Fini's hand is the heavy, thick line overprinted on the fine line underneath throughout the work". A copy of this expertise will be given to the buyer.
