Emblematic of the House of Hermès, this "Chaîne d'ancre" necklace bears not only the hand-engraved signature, but also the master hallmark of Gaëtan de Percin. Having worked in Georges Lenfant's workshop and as a subcontractor for Lacloche, Gaëtan de Percin specialized in silverwork, setting up his own workshop in 1938 to collaborate with Robert Dumas, the third generation to head Hermès. The combination of Dumas' love of the maritime world and Percin's expertise gave birth to the first silver jewelry collection.
