H. Tirman, in his review of the 1927 Salon des Indépendants, mentions and reproduces our painting by Souzouki, "with the two ladies on the terraces, his harp and flute| Oka, with his two paintings of the sea, [which] remind us, in a Japanese style, of the charm of our old tapestries (pl. XVII)".
