The finely chased ormolu case depicts the winged Love group holding the flaming torch of the Passion, standing on a chariot drawn by a team of two galloping horses. The rear of the chariot is a dragon based on a model attributed to the bronzemaker Jean-Simon Deverberie (1764 - 1824). The outside of the dial wheel is in white enamel and signed Duvivier in Poitiers. Rectangular terrace resting on lion paws.
