LUXURIOUS RESTAURATION CHEVAUX-LÉGERS OFFICER'S SWORD Gilt bronze mounting, finely chased and debased. Helmeted pommel with caterpillar. Jointed bow with fleur-de-lys. Keyboard in the form of a lion-headed shield bearing the arms of France on a background of spears. Straight quillon and small counter-keyboard decorated with a thunderbolt.
Wooden spindle covered with two mother-of-pearl plates. Straight Solingen blade with triangular cross-section, engraved in gold and one-third blued.
Leather scabbard with two brass fittings and palmette-decorated button cap.
