NAVAL OFFICER'S SABER
PRAIRIAL MODEL AN XII Gilt brass, chased and ebony mounting.
Oval pommel decorated with a plant crown, pierced joint arch for the strap to pass through, chased with a stylized acanthus leaf. Cruiser with cartouche depicting a marine allegory and half-orange cruiser with radiant sun. Curved lion's head quillon. Ebony spindle with curved pattern. Curved blade with hollow sides, engraved, gilded and one-third blued. Chagrin-covered wooden scabbard. Chappe with double hook featuring the Mélusine de Lusignan and a scallop shell.
