OLD REGIME MARINE SABRE Brass mounting. Long-tailed cap joined to the hilt. Joining bow with two detached branches forming a "skeleton" shell with naval anchor motif. Wooden buttstock covered with brass filigree leather. Straight, double-edged blade featuring a large Moorish-profile punch. No scabbard, oxidation.
France, early Louis XVI period.
