NATIONAL CAVALRY" SABER
Montmorency-style brass mounting.
Oval cap. Jointed arch forming the plate, from which a branch stands out forming the openwork shell with the monogram "GNP" probably for the "Garde Nationale de Paris". Wooden spindle with double brass filigree.
Blade by Gouland fourbisseur in Paris, straight with hollow sides and gutter engraved "CAVALERIE NATIONALE" under the arms of France (oxidation). No scabbard.
France, constitutional monarchy period.
