Brass and ebony mounting. Oval cap decorated with a rosette of foliage.
Jointed bow decorated with a palmette, almond-shaped cruise featuring the god Bacchus and drop-shaped quillon. Squared ebony spindle. Strong Solingen blade with hollow sides, gutter and counter-edge. Engraved, gilded and one-third blued (oxidation).
Iron scabbard with three brass fittings and two suspension rings. Wear to the sting.
First Empire period.
