SABRE DES MARINS DE LA GARDE IMPÉRIALE Bronze mounting. Line-decorated oval cap. V-shaped joint bow with curved quillon ending in a ball in the extension, marked "DUC". Shield-shaped cruiser (no naval anchor). Wooden spindle covered with watermarked leather. Curved blade with hollow sides marked on both sides "GARDE IMPERIALE" between two naval anchors (oxidation). Leather-covered wooden scabbard with three brass fittings.
France, First Empire period.
