SABRE DES GRENADIERS À CHEVAL DE LA GARDE IMPÉRIALE Brass mounting, "battle guard" model. Cutaway cap with line decoration. The jointed arch features four branches that meet on a palmette adorned with a pomegranate. A fifth branch detaches from the bow to join the palmette counterplate. Drop-shaped quillon. Leather-covered wooden spindle with alternating double brass filigree. Curved blade with hollow sides and gutter engraved, gilded and one-third blued. Marked "Garde Impériale". Steel scabbard with brass strap and suspension ring.
Iron sting.
