HUSSARD SABRE MODEL TROUPE TYPE AN IV Brass mounting. Long-tailed oval cap, right-angled flat joint arch, slightly curved quillon and almond-shaped cruise. Wooden buttstock covered with brass filigree leather. Curved blade with hollow sides and counter-edge.
Punched with an "L" at the heel and marked "A (sous couronne) B 39".
Wood-cored scabbard with two brass fittings and reinforcement splints on the blackened leather cover.
Iron stinger and two rings.
Complete with two white buffalo lines with brass attachments and leather braid.
France, late 18th century.

Small accident to the tip.
Presence of an old collector's label.
