SABRE D'OFFICIER DES TROUPES À PIED DE LA GARDE IMPÉRIALE Chased brass mounting with acanthus leaf decoration. Long-tailed cap, joint arch linking the cruise, of which the trace of the Emperor's profile and the two mounting holes remain. Curved quillon with button. Wooden spindle with alternating double copper filigree.
Klingenthal production blade by Duc, curved, with hollow sides, gutter and notch.
Engraved, gilded and blued on one half. Marked on the heel "Duc fourbisseur de la Garde Impériale Rue
St Honoré en face de celle de la Loi Nu 251 Paris" inscribed on both sides "GARDE IMPERIALE", eagle and the numeral N.
No scabbard.
