LUXURY SABRE BY BOUTET ENTREPRENEUR IN VERSAILLES Chased and gilded bronze mount.
Slightly inclined, oval-shaped cap decorated with a recessed belt in sand-blasted amati.
Joining bow with small scrolled plate on which is positioned the branch, straight, with openwork Y-shaped sides and plant rosette in the middle. Rosette cross following the jointing arch.
Curved quillon ending in a floral bud.
Carved ebony spindle with tortoiseshell decoration (cracks). Curved blade with wide hollow sides and counter-edge.
Signed on the heel "Coulaux frères" "Manufacture du Klingenthal" on a gilded background.
It is chased with laurel wreaths, rosettes and trophies, gilded and blued in thirds.
Wooden, leather-covered scabbard (possibly refinished) with three cut, openwork and gilded brass fittings. Two bracelets and rings, faceted studs. Mantle signed "Mfture à Versailles Entse Boutet".
