Gilded lacquered carved wood statue of Quan Te Âm, in her esoteric twelve-armed form known as Chuân Dê Quan Âm, the bodhisattva seated in padmasana on a double lotiform base. Two hands rest in dhyanamudra on her legs, while above them a second set performs the chuân-dê gesture. The other arms extend around the torso, holding various attributes.
