ATTRIBUTED TO KOMAI DE KYOTO JAPAN MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912)
Miniature cabinet (kodansu) in iron and gold and silver inlay in nunome zôgan.
The front has two drawers and two doors opening onto several drawers and asymmetrical compartments. The interior of the doors is decorated with views of the Kiyomizu-dera and the Kyoto-gosho.
The cabinet as a whole is richly decorated with reserves featuring landscapes, flowers of the four seasons, stylized chrysanthemum motifs on a mokume background and underlined by friezes of vine shoots.

NOTE Founded in Kyoto in 1841 by Komai Seibei, who came from a long line of metalworkers, the
