Swiss registration title, in temporary importation

Some DS models are more exceptional than others, and this stunning Pallas is one of them, the very first of its kind. Delivered new in France in April 1965, it is extremely rare, as it was produced only from spring of that year for a single model year!
Instantly recognizable, it features rare “sombrero” striped wheel covers, two additional long-range iodine headlights, chrometrimmed indicators, stainless steel side moldings with light gray rubber inserts, stainless steel trim on both the upper and lower door edges, and a Triplex windshield. The brushed aluminum C-pillar panels are no longer striped and bear the raised DS inscription. Inside, the upholstery received special attention, with thicker padded seats in luxurious Nylon velvet. The Pullman-style seatbacks are higher and incredibly comfortable. The door panels are fully upholstered, carpets cover the sills, and chrome trim decorates the rocker panels and hinges. The result is a sensation of a floating luxury lounge.
Ordered new in this magnificent Rouge Carmin (AC 411) shade, it features a matching deep red Nylon velvet interior. (Only Palladium Gray cars could be ordered with leather upholstery.) Equipped with the hydraulic gearbox and the three-main-bearing engine, this model marked the end of the 400 wheels.
Acquired in 2013, the car had been repainted in a gray shade from the period’s color palette. A total restoration was undertaken, from the chassis to the bodywork, where its original color was brought back to life. The mechanical components were fully rebuilt, and while its engine is not the original, it is a correct threemain- bearing engine from the same year. The entire hydraulic system was also redone and converted to green fluid, ensuring greater reliability and longevity.
Absolutely stunning in every way, all hydraulic and mechanical components remain original, and every model-specific detail
unique to this rare 1965 version is present. The entire restoration is documented in a beautiful album with over 1,000 photos, capturing the car’s journey from its delivery at the garage to its first drive post-restoration.
