* Citroën Ami 6 Berline – 1968

Swiss registration title, in temporary importation

The first Ami 6 was launched in April 1961 to fill the gap between the 2CV and the DS19. It looked more like a super 2CV, with the same chassis, suspension and air-cooled flat-twin engine, but with a higher output of 602 cc and 3 HP.
Designed by Flaminio Bertoni, the Ami 6 was unique in terms of both design and handling. Its inverted rear window offered
passengers a level of space and on-board comfort that was unique in its day, setting it apart from the rest of the world’s
automobile production.
Our example is a 1968 saloon, so it’s one of the very latest models, an interesting phase II with its 4 hydraulic shock absorbers, 12-volt battery and square rear lights. Carare White AC 144 with a very well preserved red cloth interior, it was sold new in January 1968 in France before arriving in the collection of Mr D. in 1995.
Seduced by its very good condition, he took care to maintain it regularly. With 98,801 kilometres on the clock, the car is as
original as its paintwork and upholstery.
Sold with its original owner’s manual, it is an extremely pleasant car to drive, quiet, original and with a lot of goodwill.
