Swiss registration title, in temporary importation

In 1962, Citroën was faced with an unprecedented problem: sales of the 2 CV were falling. The response was swift, to counter the imminent arrival of the Renault 4.
It was only produced between 1966 and 1967 and was equipped with the reinforced chassis, gearbox, large brakes and large visible dynamo of the Ami 6, as well as 4 new hydraulic shock absorbers.
Its finish was also more meticulous, making it one of the most opulent 2 CVs thanks to a number of elegant details, notably the more streamlined door handles.
Our example was built in the Forest factory and delivered new in Switzerland to the dealer in Fribourg. It never left the canton and only had two owners before joining Mr D.’s collection in 2010.
Completely restored, this ‘Deluxe’ version of the 2 CV Export is accompanied by its numerous notebooks and manuals in their original pockets.
