* Citroën 2 CV AU – 1953

Swiss registration title, in temporary importation

Introduced in March 1951, the first utility version of the 2CV was based on the Type A: with only 3 years of production, the AU is one of the rarest versions of the 2CV! Today, it's rarer than a Type A, such was the wear and tear of its time!
Our car was delivered new in Switzerland in April 1953, and has only had 4 owners since leaving the factory, all in the canton of Berne! Connoisseurs will notice the original double compass bonnet, the 2 original front wings with indentations and the
original doors.
Acquired in 2010 by Mr. D. as a wreck, this AU underwent a major restoration in 2013, it was during this period that the bodywork was completely reworked, as was the passenger compartment, while taking care to retain the original square elastic upholstery and period equipment.
The engine is true to the original (rare 375 cm3 version), and was taken over at the time of the restoration.
Halfway between a museum piece and a collector's utility vehicle capable of taking on everyday tasks!

Seventy years on, and still with the same effect on the crowds, still with that indissociable notion of elegance, avant-gardism
and technical refinement... That’s what the name DS evokes!
In the hushed world of motoring myths, few names resonate with such intensity. As soon as it was unveiled in the nave of
the Grand Palais in October 1955, it became a star, fascinating young and old alike.
Beyond our borders, a young boy working in his father’s garage would see them pass by the petrol station during a break.
With its sculptural lines, near-futuristic look and revolutionary hydropneumatic suspension, the DS became a bold design
manifesto that defied the conventions frozen in time. The young man never missed a beat...
A few years later, still very young, Mr D. took over the family business, but the experience he had acquired over the years
enabled him to develop the business and build up an exceptional collection. With almost 40 examples, it is considered to be one of the finest and most important collections dedicated to the marque with the chevrons in Europe.
Of course, it would be unfair to limit the collection to the DS, as it showcases the brand’s production in the broadest sense
of the term.
The selection is thematic, with popular cars such as the 2CV, Ami 6, Dyane and the little GS rubbing shoulders with the
brand’s oldest productions, including a rare army Kégresse and a magnificent C6 flatbed truck. The DS range is joined by the
two Traction 7Cs and the 15 Six Ds, as well as a fine selection of even more confidential cars, including an M35 prototype and a GS Birotor, 840 of which were produced. The sportier cars are not to be outdone, with a rare MEP X27, BX4 TC, Visa 1000 Pistes 4x4 and some sought-after yougtimers.
Telling the story of the passion of a Swiss aesthete who took care to bring together the rarest and most iconic models, this
collection recalls the poetry of a time when progress was synonymous with dreams...
