*Citroën XM V6 – 1990
Swiss registration title, in temporary
importation
Introduced in 1989, the Citroën XM is a top-of-the-range saloon with a highly avant-garde design by Italian stylist Bertone. Featuring a remarkable array of technical refinements, the French saloon appears to be the worthy heir to the DS and CX.
Available with a choice of petrol or diesel engines, the flagship of the marque with the chevrons will be equipped in its most luxurious version with a V6 24-valves engine of PRV origin culminating in 3.0 litres of displacement, to develop 200 hp enabling the large saloon to reach a top speed of 235 km/h. With its high level of performance and luxurious but never flashy equipment, the XM had clearly chosen its rivals...
Sold by the Appollo dealership in Neuchâtel on 21 August 1990, our phase 1 model had only one owner until 2016, when
it entered the collection. By then, it had only been used during the summer season.
Its pearl grey bodywork is in a beautiful state of preservation, with only the wheel rims having been restored in 2019. Inside, the thick, comfortable velvet upholstery is characteristic of the model.
With just 58,200 km, it comes with a service booklet and an emissions certificate attesting to its low mileage. Under the bonnet, the 170 hp V6 PRV is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Regularly maintained, it is in good working order.
