Aston Martin Vanquish – 2003

French registration title

The 2001 Geneva Motor Show saw the presentation of a brand new Aston Martin, the most exclusive V12 GT in the range: the Vanquish. The styling was sumptuous (designed by the genius of Ian Callum), and the Vanquish was a huge success, particularly after the release of James’s latest opus, Die Another Day, in which the Vanquish was used in Iceland!
The cocktail was almost perfect when it arrived in collectors’ garages... almost... because only one thing was missing! The
semi-automatic gearbox is pleasant at low speeds, but at higher revs... it’s just not quick and fun enough. That’s why some manufacturers (including Aston Martin) quickly set about replacing the automatic gearbox with a 6-speed manual.
Our car was delivered new to Germany on 14 February 2003, in the extremely rare ‘Canne di Fucile’ Ferrari colour, used exceptionally for the first owner. The interior is finished in Charcoal leather, with the rare 2+2 option and Motorola telephone as extras...
In 2016, the Aston Martin dealer in Lyon sold this car to its first French collector, converting it to a manual gearbox at the same time (€25,000 invoice in the file). Our collector bought the car in 2024, and only used it on rare occasions, giving it less than 53,000 km! Of course, its service booklet, manuals, various kits, Leatherman Swiss Army knife and telephone are all present!
Enthusiasts need say no more, just don’t miss the chance to acquire a car that ticks so many boxes: special-order colour,
low mileage, European origin and mechanical conversion...
