Triumph Spitfire 1500 – 1979
Luxembourg registration title
“The Bomb”, as it was code-named before being called Spitfire, was intended to respond to the Austin-Healey Sprite released in 1951.
The elegant design was by Giovanni Michelotti, who had just signed the Triumph Herald.
Our model is one of the last Spitfire 1500s produced| it has the largest engine available on this model.
The restoration project is 95% complete: the bodywork and running gear were redone at an unknown date| the front bonnet, passenger compartment, engine and exhausts all go with it.
This is the ideal project to start a collection or to keep busy for the next winter!
