Peugeot 504 Cabriolet V6 – 1974 - Lot 7
Peugeot 504 Cabriolet V6 – 1974 French historic registration title At Peugeot, Coupés and Cabriolets derived from saloons are a tradition. After the 203 and 403, Peugeot called on Pininfarina for the 404, who created a body different from that of the saloon with the success that we know. With the 504, the Sochaux-based manufacturer confirmed the rule, transforming a conventional 4-door saloon into an elegant convertible worthy of Italian production. In 1974, the 2.7-litre V6 version was launched, representing the pinnacle of the range. With fewer than 1,000 examples produced, it was THE car to collect! Our example was sold new by Imperial Garage, in Menton, on 9 January 1975, and was one of the first 100 produced (its shell bears the number 98)! In 1976, it was bought by an enthusiast in La Manche, who kept the car... until 2023! A few years before parting with it, this early collector gave his car a complete paint job in its original colour, as well as a full restoration of the leathers. In 2023, the car will leave the family and be exported to England, before being sold by our services at the end of that same year. It then went into the garage of a major French collector, who took care to use it regularly and give it a complete detailing to restore it to its former glory: today, the car runs and looks great! This Peugeot 504 really does tick all the boxes: convertible, V6, perfect colour combination and a well-known history. Now presented in superb condition and with a very attractive valuation, it’s an opportunity not to be missed!
