Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce – 1972 - Lot 5
Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce – 1972 French historic registration title Unveiled in 1971, the Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce represented the culmination of the lineage inaugurated by the Sprint in 1963. Designed by Giugiaro for Bertone, it is considered by many to be the best of the Bertone coupes thanks to its 1,962 cc engine, 5-speed gearbox, self-locking system and four-wheel disc brakes. A rare example sold new in France, it is presented in its original Bianco Spino colour with a black skai interior. With just over 78,000 km on the clock, it features electronic ignition, a Retrotrip trip master, Hella long-range headlights and a lower crankcase protective boot. Purchased in 2011 by its current owner to replace his stolen Porsche 964, this car has always been perfectly maintained, as evidenced by its extensive file of invoices. Its inspection reports date back to 2007 under its previous owner. At the time, the car had been purchased from the specialist Quadrifoglio in Argenteuil, which was still servicing it in 2021 before Garage de la Poste in Le Vesinet took over. A total of €40,735 has been invested in this car to keep it running smoothly and looking good since 2011. In 2018, the gearbox and clutch will be rebuilt, followed by the replacement of the engine. The following year, the bodywork was completely overhauled (photo file attached). It was last serviced in July 2024, when a general overhaul was carried out at Garage de la Poste. During our test drive, we appreciated the car’s performance and roadholding. This is an interesting purchase for collectors looking for a car eligible for the Tour Auto and a good number of rallies. Easy to drive and maintain, it’s an opportunity not to be missed!
