In the aftermath of the Second World War, BMW had to develop its range in order to rise from the ashes. Several attempts were made, culminating in the new R50, which launched the Bavarian firm into the modern era...
The example we are presenting was born the R50 Series 2, before arriving in the garage of a tasteful collector, who decided
to upgrade his toy...
Removal of the sidecar support, treatment of the frame and chassis (rims and swingarm), addition of a Series 5 fork, and above all the addition of a Grimeca four-cam brake at the front. In terms of looks, bespoke aluminium mudguards will be fitted and the superb seat will be upholstered in leather by a local upholsterer.
The engine will also be tuned, with the addition of a camshaft, high-compression piston, electronic ignition and bespoke exhaust system. Since its arrival with the current owner, our BMW will not be used much, but is still roadworthy (plan to have it checked before taking to the road).
This is a sumptuous café racer with a unique look, which has been tastefully prepared and offered at a very reasonable price!
