Vertical thangka depicting Padmasambhava.
The master seated on a lotus emerging from the waves, holding a vajra in his left hand, a kapala in his right and a katvanga, resting on a large circular nimbus surmounted by a representation of Amithaba Buddha. Stems of lotus blossom on the sides of the composition, supporting representations of the patriarchs of the Gelugpa and Nyingma sects. In a later frame.
