Note
On June 1, 1904, Louis Vallet was one of the nine co-founders of the Société des dessinateurs humoristes, along with Abel Truchet and Charles Léandre, its first president. Vallet was vice-president of the association under the presidency of Jean-Louis Forain, at least from 1924 to 1929. Other members of the society included Jules Depaquit, Joseph Pinchon, Albert Robida, Théophile Alexandre Steinlen, Jean Villemot and Adolphe Willette. In 1904, he took part in the Henry Monnier festival organized by the company and held on the Grand Boulevards in Paris. In 1924, he lived at 46, rue des Martyrs in Paris. He is buried in the new cemetery at Neuilly-sur-Seine.
