The TZ #AR750057 was sold new in Stradale configuration
by the Alfa Romeo dealership in Florence in 1964 and
first registered in Pisa. The following year
the following year by Autodelta with twin-ignition cylinder head
and Le Mans-type engine preparation, with a view to taking part in
several European Championship hill-climb races.
A few years later, #AR750057 found itself in the hands of
hands of Italian gentleman driver Vittorio Girolami in Rome, where it
for seven years. (In December 2021, Aguttes sold another TZ
another TZ belonging to Vittorio Girolami - #AR750091
- of which he owned 5 alongside his Ferrari 250 GT
Tour de France aluminum #0667 GT).
Heavily damaged in 1981 at the hands of its 4th owner,
#AR750057 was sold without engine and in very poor condition to
to Pier David Milesi, who restored it over a period of almost 10 years before
to a French collector in 1995. The car then took part
Tour Auto in 2003, and also at the 2006 Le Mans Classic.
Even more recently, in 2022, it successfully
the finish line of Le Mans Classic in the hands of its last
last owner.
Equipped with a 170 hp twin-ignition engine, a TZ
5-speed gearbox from TZ and a rear axle with magnesium housing from
TZ magnesium sump, our example has an FIA Historic Technical Passport
valid until 2027. Well-known on the historic circuit
the car has made numerous appearances at the Tour Auto,
the Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or, as well as the Trofeo Nastro Rosso
now the Greatest's Trophy by Peter Auto, reserved for the most
exclusive cars.
Presented today in its original condition, its bodywork will need a little
some attention. It has been little used since Le Mans Classic
2022, and a complete overhaul of the mechanics will also be required.
