Probably southern Italy, second half of 18th century, straw-colored gros de Tours moiré embroidered in full silk chain stitch in vivid polychrome and silver blade with a gnarled tree in bloom charged with pomegranates on the orfroi band and garlands of lilies and poppies on either side. Buckram lining, gilded system braid underlining the perimeter and delimiting the orfroi band.
