in wrought iron, the arms of the cross circular
widening outwards.
Applied decoration of bronze rosette
in bronze with traces of silver plating.
Probably part of a polycandelon,
early work of undetermined date.

This important cross is related to the typology
with the typology of Byzantine crosses. Its large
makes it a curiosity to be compared with
to the crosses of votive crowns such as those in the
of the Guarrazar treasure or, more conclusively
of a polycandelon element, such as the one
in the Cleveland Museum [N° 1953.639].
