Provenance : once owned by Ana Maria Rodriguez, a heroine with an extraordinary destiny. She was the first female doctor in the Venezuelan state of Zulia, as well as a politician and a passionate advocate of women's and children's rights. She married physician and professor Antonio Borjas Romero. Their extraordinary story is told in Miguel Bonnefoy's multi-award-winning novel, "Le rêve du jaguar".
