GRANDE PENDULE AU SONGE
DU CHEVALIER
An important neo-Gothic bronze clock
with double patina, featuring a large
group of a knight kneeling in prayer
in an attitude of prayer by a standing angel
standing, leaning on a sword in his right hand
right hand and pointing to the heavens
hand. Possibly a representation
of Godefroy de Bouillon or Saint Louis
at prayer. The base is richly decorated in Neo-Gothic style
and two angels in the corners. White enamelled dial
attributed to the Raingo
to the Raingo brothers, mid-19th century.
