and its base-lamp in Boulle marquetry
and brass marquetry, the gilt bronze dial
in gilt bronze with twelve enamelled cartouches
with Roman numerals is signed
signed Gauthier in Paris, beautifully decorated
chased and gilded bronzes decorated
and scrolls. The shock absorber
featuring two allegorical figures
and the top adorned with a Renommée.
Movement plate signed Jérome Martinot
in Paris.
First half of the 18th century.
