An enamel, diamond, gold and silver ring, 19th Century

The commemorative ring was a mourning ritual scrupulously observed in the 18th and 19th centuries. The diamond funeral urn applied to blue enamel and surrounded by a diamond border is a luxury version of these rings, whose symbols evolved over the centuries.
