NOTE
This motif, known as the "Serviço dos Pavões" or "Double Peacock Service", is one of the most famous of Chinese export porcelain, particularly in Portugal and Brazil.
Indeed, the Portuguese royal family owned several services with this decoration, which King Joao
VI took with him on his exile to Brazil in 1808.
The services were sold at auction in 1890 when the Empire became the Republic of Brazil.
