Obverse with the sentence "Thieu Tri thông bao / Van the vinh lai" (Current currency of Thieu Tri / Ten thousand generations will have perpetual confidence) with the sun and moon, the five planets and the five clouds in the upper part and the three mountains emerging from the waves, coral branches in the lower part. The reverse features a poem.

NOTE
These coins, minted at Court, were intended to reward brilliant deeds and services rendered to the dynasty, or to honor foreign personalities. They were pierced and fitted with a cord. These coins could, if necessary, be traded. A decree promulgated under Thieu Tri specified the exchange rates.
