Original edition of 325 copies: one of 20 on Hollande Van Gelder Zonen (no. 26, second paper after 20 japon impérial), including a suite on Hollande of all the illustrations.
Splendid work illustrated with 20 large full-page compositions, and a vignette on the cover, stencilled in color. This is the major book by painter and illustrator Yan Bernard Dyl (1887-1944), one of the leading members of the Art Deco movement.
The cover vignette is reproduced in color on a leaf after the title page, and again in black on a leaf after the printer's proof.
