(the 1st blank), XVII p., [1] blank f., 219 p., [2] f., red morocco, spine with 5 raised bands, author, title and date gilt, decoration formed by a mosaic of green morocco scroll edging the spine, the boards decorated in the same way with two scrolls, one black and one green, criss-crossed at the corners, double gilt fillet at the edges, black morocco lining edged with a set of gilt fleurons and a gilt criblé background, double endpapers of embroidered satin with floral motif and marbled paper, cover and spine preserved, gilt edges, gilt edges. and spine, gilt edges on witnesses, slipcase [Noulhac] (slight rubbing to edges of slipcase and nerves).
Edition illustrated with 220 color woodcuts by Auguste Lepère, who also did the printing. It contains an unpublished preface by Huysmans.
The text features Georges Auriol's typeface engraved by Peignot.

Limited edition of 130 numbered copies on Blanchet &| Kléber laid paper with the watermark of the Société des Cent Bibliophiles, this one no. 83 nominative for Théodore Révillon.
Splendid binding by Noulhac in the characteristic Art Nouveau style.
